Bacon-wrapped Scallops With Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps maple syrup .
  • 2 tbsps Dijon mustard .
  • 1/8 tsp salt .
  • 10 large sea scallops .
  • 10 slices bacon .
  • 1 c heavy whipping cream

Directions
  • Step #1 Place bacon in an ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan.
  • Step #2 Bake at 350F Degrees for 7-10 mins or until partially cooked & lightly browned.
  • Step #3 Drain on paper towels.
  • Step #4 Wrap each strip of bacon around a scallop; secure with toothpicks.
  • Step #5 In a saucepan, bring cream to a boil.
  • Step #6 Reduce heat; simmer, until cream is reduced to 3/4 c, uncovered, about 8 mins.
  • Step #7 Stir in the mustard, syrup, & salt.
  • Step #8 Bring to a boil & boil for 2 mins.
  • Step #9 Meanwhile, place the scallop on a greased baking sheet.
  • Step #10 Bake at 400F Degrees for 8-12 mins or until firm & opaque.
  • Step #11 Serve with the cream sauce.
