Green Bean Stew (arabic Recipe) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c olive oil or vegetable oil .
  • 2 lbs fresh green beans or 2 (16 oz) packages frozen green beans .
  • 1-1 1/2 lb lamb stew meat (or beef stew) .
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper .
  • 1/2 tsp allspice .
  • 3 tsps salt .
  • 3-4 garlic cloves (crushed or minced fine) .
  • 1 large sliced onion .
  • 2 c water .
  • 3 large ripe sliced fresh tomatoes or 1 (28 oz) can sliced tomatoes

Directions
  • Step #1 Wash green beans & trim off stems.
  • Step #2 Cut in half & rinse in cold water.
  • Step #3 Saute lamb meat stew, garlic, onions, salt & spices in olive oil or vegetable oil(stirring every once in awhile) until meat is brown.
  • Step #4 Add 2 c of water, green beans, sliced tomatoes or 28 oz.
  • Step #5 can of sliced tomatoes.
  • Step #6 & cook on medium heat for about 10 mins.
  • Step #7 cover & let simmer on low heat for around 45 mins or until green beans are tender.
  • Step #8 This meal is best when served hot with plain rice.
