Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs cavatappi pasta .
1/2 tsp fresh oregano .
4 oz golden Italian dressing .
1/2 tsp fresh marjoram .
1/2 tbsp minced garlic .
2 chicken bouillon cubes .
1 tbsp sliced fresh rosemary .
1 c heavy cream .
6 oz mushrooms, quartered .
2 leaves fresh basil, cut in thin strips .
1 (28 oz) can sliced tomatoes with juice .
1/2 tsp fresh thyme .
white pepper .
1 tbsp sliced fresh garlic .
2 tbsps white wine .
1 tbsp margarine .
4 oz tomato paste .
1/4 c shredded parmesan cheese .
1/2 c coarsely sliced onions .
1 1/2 tbsps vodka .
1 1/2 tsps paprika .
1 lb chicken breasts
Directions
Step #1 Marinate the chicken: Put the chicken breast in a bowl & cover with Italian fressing, rosemary, & garlic.
Step #2 Marinate for a couple hrs in the fridge.
Step #3 Make sauce: In a pot large enough to hold the entire recipe, saute garlic, onions, mushrooms & herbs until vegetables begin to soften.
Step #4 Add bouillon & stir well.
Step #5 Add vodka & cook a min, then add white wine & reduce for another min.
Step #6 Stir in paprika & tomato paste & cook 5 mins.
Step #7 Add sliced tomatoes with juice & let simmer 10 mins.
Step #8 Add heavy cream, stir well & let simmer 30 mins.
Step #9 Remove from heat & reserve for chicken.
Step #10 Final play: Cook the pasta al dente & drain.
Step #11 Remove chicken from marinade & grill or broil 10 mins per side.
Step #12 Let cool a bit & cut into 1" strips.
Step #13 Add pasta & chicken to sauce pot & mix well.
Step #14 Top each portion with Parmesan & basil & serve this with garlic bread.
