Hommus (arabic Dip) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 dash paprika .
  • 1/2 c sesame tahini (100% ground hulled sesame paste) .
  • 2 tbsps sliced fresh parsley (optional) .
  • 2-3 tbsps pine nuts (Pignoli nuts) (optional) .
  • 1-2 lemon, juice of .
  • 2 large garlic cloves, crushed .
  • 1 tbsp salt .
  • 1 c water or juice, from grabanzo can .
  • 2 tbsps olive oil (optional) .
  • 1/2 tsp cumin (optional) .
  • 2 (14 oz) cans garbanzo beans

Directions
  • Step #1 Boil Garabanzo beans for 5 mins on medium heat, Drain (reserving liquid).
  • Step #2 Place garbanzo beans, salt, crushed garlic, lemon juice, sesame Tahine, & water(or liquid from garabanzo) in food processor/blender.
  • Step #3 Blend for about 20 seconds to make a smooth & creamy dip.
  • Step #4 you can add more salt or lemon juice if desired.
  • Step #5 Also heat pignoli nuts with 2 tbsps of olive oil & stir fry until light brown.
  • Step #6 Place Hommus In a large-ish flat serving plate & garinsh with sliced parsley, pignoli nuts, radish, & paparika.
  • Step #7 cover hommus with 2 tbs.
  • Step #8 of olive oil.
  • Step #9 Ready to serve.
  • Step #10 Hommus is best when served cold.
  • Step #11 Its great with Arabic (Pita) bread or Pita Chips.
