Brandied Fruit Compote Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract .
  • 3 whole cloves .
  • 1 (15 oz) can bing cherries .
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract .
  • 2-3 pieces cinnamon sticks .
  • 1/2 c brandy .
  • 1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges .
  • 1/2 c brown sugar .
  • 1 (15 1/4 oz) can peach slices

Directions
  • Step #1 Drain all canned fruit syrup into measuring c.
  • Step #2 Pour 1/2 of syrup in small sauce pan.
  • Step #3 Add brown sugar, extracts & spices.
  • Step #4 Simmer until reduced by half.
  • Step #5 Stir in brandy.
  • Step #6 Place canned fruits in clean quart jar & pour brandy syrup mixture over fruit.
  • Step #7 Cool & store this in refrigerator.
