Step #1 Place chicken broth, cooked chicken (add more for a really hearty meal!) & poultry seasoning In a large-ish dutch oven.
Step #2 Add salt & pepper to taste.
Step #3 Bring to a boil, then turn down to medium low.
Step #4 Taste the broth after 5 mins & see if you need more poultry seasoning.
Step #5 It really depends on how your chicken was cooked initially.
Step #6 While the chicken is simmering in the broth, place the flour in the center of a plate.
Step #7 Open the biscuits (make sure they are not the "flaky" kind -- more the homestyle or buttermilk type), & flatten each one to about 1/4 to 1/8 inch thick.
Step #8 Then dredge the biscuits through the flour.
Step #9 This will thicken your broth & make for a really good gravy for your chicken & dumplings.
Step #10 You might want to add some salt & pepper & poultry seasoning to your flour.
Step #11 It all depends on how your chicken was initially seasoned.
Step #12 Make sure your chicken & broth is boiling.
Step #13 If not, turn the heat up on your stove until it boils.
Step #14 Then take each biscuit & tear into bite size pieces & drop into the broth.
Step #15 Stir it every once in awhile so that the pieces do not stick together.
Step #16 Once all the biscuits are torn up & are placed in the dutch oven, lower the heat to a simmer.
Step #17 Cook for about 15 mins, or until the "dumplings" are tender.
