1 (4 lb) boneless beef chuck or beef shoulder or blade pot roast .
8 small onions, skins removed & sliced .
8 small potatoes, cut in half .
1 tsp pepper
Directions
Step #1 In 12-inch skillet, cook beef over med-heat/flame until brown on all sides.
Step #2 In 4- to 6-quart slow cooker (aka crockpot), place potatoes, carrots & onions.
Step #3 Place beef on vegetables.
Step #4 In small bowl, mix horseradish, salt & pepper; spread evenly over beef.
Step #5 Pour water into slow cooker (aka crockpot).
Step #6 Cover up & cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hrs.
Step #7 Some slow cooker (aka crockpot)s (like mine) cook faster so adjust time according to how you know your slow cooker (aka crockpot) usually works.
