Banana-chocolate Caramel Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips .
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened .
  • 3 large eggs .
  • 3 c half-and-half cream .
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1/2 c sliced toasted walnuts (or use pecans) .
  • 1/2 c caramel sauce (room temperature) .
  • 4 c cubed Italian bread (crusts removed & cut into 1-inch cubes) .
  • vanilla ice cream .
  • 2 ripe bananas (sliced crosswise)

Directions
  • Step #1 Set oven to 325F degrees.
  • Step #2 Butter a 9-inch baking dish.
  • Step #3 Spread the bread cubes into the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Step #4 Arrange the banana slices over the top of the bread, then sprinkle with chocolate chips & nuts.
  • Step #5 Drizzle the caramel sauce over top.
  • Step #6 In a bowl beat cream with eggs, cream cheese & cinnamon until smooth & mixd; pour evenly over the top.
  • Step #7 Let stand at about room temp for 20 mins.
  • Step #8 Bake for about 45-50 mins to 1 hr.
  • Step #9 Let stand for 15 mins before serving.
  • Step #10 Serve warm topped with ice cream.
