4 large firm but ripe pears, peeled, halved, cored, each half cut lengthwise into 6 slices (about 1 1/2 lbs) .
3-4 tsps fresh lemon juice
Directions
Step #1 Melt butter in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
Step #2 Add brown sugar & vanilla; stir 1 min.
Step #3 Add pear slices & lemon juice; cook this until pears begin to release juice & syrup forms in skillet, turning pear slices frequently, about 3 mins.
