Garden Tuna Salad Pita Sandwiches Recipe

Ingredients
  • tomatoes, slices .
  • 1 medium carrot, sliced .
  • 1/4 c frozen peas, thawed & drained .
  • 1/2 c reduced-fat monterey jack cheese, cubed .
  • 1/3 c reduced-fat Italian salad dressing .
  • 2 pita bread rounds, halved .
  • 1 (6 oz) can tuna, drained (water packed) .
  • lettuce .
  • 1/4 tsp dried parsley .
  • 1 celery rib, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Place tuna In a large-ish bowl; break into chunks.
  • Step #2 Add carrot, celery, cheese, peas & parsley; toss to mix.
  • Step #3 Pour dressing over mixture; toss lightly to coat.
  • Step #4 Place on piece lettuce & one tomatoe slice in each pita half.
  • Step #5 Fill pita halves with tuna mixture.
