3 tbsps bransten's pickles, coarsely sliced if the fruit is in big pieces .
6-8 oz strong aged cheddar cheese, sliced (or English Cheshire)
Directions
Step #1 Preheat the broiler.
Step #2 Arrange the bread on a baking sheet; lightly toast under the broiler.
Step #3 Remove from broiler; spread the pickle generously on the lightly toasted bread.
Step #4 Top with the cheese & pop under the broiler until the cheese melts.
Step #5 Variation: to make a pan-grilled cheese sandwich, double the amount of bread & make the classic sandwich, then brown on both sides either in a skillet or in a panini press, until the cheese is melting & the bread is toasty.
