Ingredients

1/2 c sugar .
1/4 tsp salt .
1 egg .
1 c molasses .
2 1/4 c flour .
1/2 c melted shortening .
2 1/4 tsps baking soda .
1 tsp cinnamon .
1 c boiling water .
3/4 tsp ginger .
1/2 tsp cloves

Directions

Step #1 Mix everything together EXCEPT the boiling water & mix well.
Step #2 Add the boiling water; mix well.
Step #3 Put into a greased & floured 9x13 pan & bake 350 degrees for 25 mins till done.
Step #4 Serve with whipped cream.
