Cheesy Sweet And Savory Spuds Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled & cubed
  • 2 tsps black pepper
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 1 tbsp chicken bouillon granules
  • 2 c shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 c heavy cream
  • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled & cubed
  • 1 2/3 tbsps brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the potatoes & sweet potatoes in a large pot with enough water to cover.
  • Step #2 Bring to a boil.
  • Step #3 Cook about 15 mins, until tender but firm.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat, & drain.
  • Step #5 Preheat the oven broiler.
  • Step #6 In a large bowl, mash the potatoes.
  • Step #7 Gradually mix in butter, brown sugar, chicken bouillon, heavy cream, & pepper.
  • Step #8 Transfer the mixture to a medium baking dish, & top this with Monterey Jack cheese.
  • Step #9 Broil uncovered in the preheated oven 10 mins, or until the cheese is melted & lightly browned.
