Sesame Fried Brown Rice Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c brown rice, uncooked .
  • 5 tbsps soy sauce .
  • 3 tbsps sesame seeds .
  • 2/3 c green onions, sliced .
  • 1 c carrots, sliced .
  • salt .
  • 1 c white onions, sliced .
  • 5 tbsps margarine .
  • pepper .
  • 1/2 c bean sprouts .
  • 1 c egg whites

Directions
  • Step #1 Bring 2 c water & rice to boil.
  • Step #2 Reduce heat & simmer 50 mins, stirring every once in awhile, until all liquid is absorbed.
  • Step #3 In large skillet melt margarine.
  • Step #4 Add onions, carrots, & scallions.
  • Step #5 Saute until veggies are translucent.
  • Step #6 Set aside.
  • Step #7 Heat oven to 350°F Place sesame seeds in a shallow oven safe pan.
  • Step #8 Bake until 10-15 mins until golden,shaking pan every once in awhile for even browning.
  • Step #9 Lightly grease another skillet.
  • Step #10 Beat egg whites & scramble in hot skillet until done.
  • Step #11 In large bowl, vegetables, mix rice, bean sprouts, sesame seeds & egg whites.
  • Step #12 Add soy sauce & stir.
  • Step #13 Salt & pepper to taste.
