Ingredients
  • 1 (21 oz) can pie filling .
  • 3 tbsps ice water .
  • 1/2 c flour .
  • 5 tbsps shortening .
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350*.
  • Step #2 Sift & measure flour.
  • Step #3 Add Salt.
  • Step #4 Cut in shortening until it resembles small peas.
  • Step #5 Drizzle water into mixture & toss with a fork until it sticks together.
  • Step #6 Shape pastry into a ball with your hands.
  • Step #7 Don't over handle.
  • Step #8 Flour your rolling pin & lightly dust your board.
  • Step #9 Roll dough from the center until it forms a circle.
  • Step #10 Cut circle in to quarters.
  • Step #11 Put filling on a 1/2 of triangle.
  • Step #12 Add dabs of butter.
  • Step #13 Moisten cut edge & 1/2 of round edge.
  • Step #14 Fold over & tuck filling away from edge.
  • Step #15 Pinch edges together.
  • Step #16 Slash top to let steam out.
  • Step #17 Brush top this with milk & sprinkle with sugar.
  • Step #18 Bake on bottom rack of oven for 20 mins.
