Ingredients
1 tsp red pepper flakes
4 (4 oz) fillets salmon
1 dash sesame oil
salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c chicken broth
1 tbsp Chinese black bean & garlic sauce
1 tbsp julienned fresh ginger
Directions
Step #1 Begin heating water in the bottom of steamer pot.
Step #2 Heat olive oil & sesame oil in a saucepan over med-heat/flame.
Step #3 Saute garlic & ginger for 1 min.
Step #4 Stir in black bean sauce & red pepper flakes.
Step #5 Cook for 5 mins.
Step #6 Remove from heat, & stir in the chicken broth; set aside.
Step #7 Rinse salmon, & pat dry.
Step #8 Spice up each side lightly with salt & pepper.
Step #9 Place in a small shallow pan.
Step #10 Spoon black bean mixture over salmon.
Step #11 Place in steamer pot over boiling water.
Step #12 Steam for 10 to 12 mins, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
