China Moon Salmon Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 4 (4 oz) fillets salmon
  • 1 dash sesame oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Chinese black bean & garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp julienned fresh ginger

Directions
  • Step #1 Begin heating water in the bottom of steamer pot.
  • Step #2 Heat olive oil & sesame oil in a saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Saute garlic & ginger for 1 min.
  • Step #4 Stir in black bean sauce & red pepper flakes.
  • Step #5 Cook for 5 mins.
  • Step #6 Remove from heat, & stir in the chicken broth; set aside.
  • Step #7 Rinse salmon, & pat dry.
  • Step #8 Spice up each side lightly with salt & pepper.
  • Step #9 Place in a small shallow pan.
  • Step #10 Spoon black bean mixture over salmon.
  • Step #11 Place in steamer pot over boiling water.
  • Step #12 Steam for 10 to 12 mins, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
