Rigatoni With Steak Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (26 oz) jar marinara sauce .
  • 4 tbsps olive oil .
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced) .
  • 16 oz rigatoni pasta .
  • 2 onions (sliced thin) .
  • 1 tsp dried oregano .
  • 2 (12 oz) rib eye steaks .
  • 2 carrots (peeled & sliced thin) .
  • 1 c beef broth .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 3 oz parmesan cheese (shredded) .
  • 3/4 c dry red wine

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat 2 Tablespoons of Oil in large pan.
  • Step #2 Sprinkle top steaks with salt & pepper.
  • Step #3 Cook the steak’s until brown on outside, but still rare in the middle, about 3 mins per side.
  • Step #4 Transfer to plate & set aside to cool completely.
  • Step #5 Add 2 more Tablespoons of Oil to pan.
  • Step #6 Saute onions & carrots until onions are translucent, about 8 mins.
  • Step #7 Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #8 Add garlic & oregano & sauté 1 min.
  • Step #9 Add wine & let simmer 1 min.
  • Step #10 Add marinara sauce & beef broth.
  • Step #11 Cover up & let simmer over medium-low heat about 10 mins.
  • Step #12 Spice up too taste with salt & pepper.
  • Step #13 Meanwhile trim off any fat from steaks.
  • Step #14 Cut into bite size pieces-set aside.
  • Step #15 Cook rigatoni according to package directions.
  • Step #16 About 10 mins, drain, toss with sauce & juices.
  • Step #17 Transfer to serving bowl & top this with Parmesan Cheese & serve.
