Japanese Method - Chicken Stew Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c chicken broth .
  • 12 small yukon gold potatoes, cubed .
  • 3 carrots, cubed .
  • 1 c water .
  • 1 small ginger, piece minced (optional) .
  • 1 medium onion, minced .
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces .
  • 3 small garlic cloves, minced (optional) .
  • 1 (360 g) package kokumaro stew cream roux mix .
  • 3 celery ribs, sliced (optional)

Directions
  • Step #1 brown chicken thighs & drain fat.
  • Step #2 warm up a c of the water or broth & melt the roux.
  • Step #3 add chicken & roux to crock pot with all remaining ingredients.
  • Step #4 set on low for 8 hrs.
  • Step #5 OR.
  • Step #6 simmer on low heat until vegetables are tender.
