New York Strip Steak Cobb Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 plum tomatoes, seeded & cut into 1/2 inch pieces .
  • 6 c romaine lettuce, cut into 1 inch sections .
  • 3 tbsps parsley, sliced .
  • 6 eggs, hardboiled, quartered & halved .
  • 4 New York strip steaks, about 12 oz each (1/2 inches thick) .
  • 1 lb blue cheese, chilled, cut into 1/2-inch cubes .
  • 12 slices bacon, cut crosswise into 1-inch pieces & cooked over med-heat/flame until just crisp (7 mins) .
  • 3 avocados, peeled, pitted & cut into 1/2 inch pieces

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the broiler.
  • Step #2 Spice up the steaks with salt & pepper.
  • Step #3 Broil on a broiler plate or tray, 4 inches from the heat source, for 4 mins on one side & 3 mins on the other for a medium-rare finish.
  • Step #4 Cool to about room temp & cut crosswise into 1/2-inch-thick slices, then cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
  • Step #5 Arrange all of the ingredients in even rows crosswise in the following order: lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, avocados, blue cheese, steak, sliced egg.
  • Step #6 Spice up lightly with salt & pepper.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top with parsley.
