Sharon's Fruited Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  • garlic salt, to taste .
  • 1/2 c margarine or butter .
  • celery salt, to taste .
  • 3/4 c flour .
  • 1 tbsp sugar .
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg .
  • 1 (20 oz) can pineapple tidbits .
  • salt, to taste .
  • 1/3 c teriyaki sauce .
  • 1 1/2 tbsps cornstarch .
  • 2 1/2-3 lbs chicken breasts (cut into chunks)

Directions
  • Step #1 In large baggie, mix ¾ C flour & seasonings.
  • Step #2 Add chicken pieces a few at a time until all coated.
  • Step #3 Brown chicken in margarine.
  • Step #4 Place in baking dish, reserving drippings in pan.
  • Step #5 Drain fruit (keep 1 C syrup)and arrange fruit over chicken.
  • Step #6 Stir corn starch & sugar in drippings.
  • Step #7 Add 1 C syrup from pineapple & teriyaki sauce.
  • Step #8 Cook & stir until thickened & bubbly.
  • Step #9 Spoon over meat.
  • Step #10 Cover up & microwave on high 5 mins.
  • Step #11 Serve over rice.
