The Best Easy Chili - Catalina Mama - Two Beggin' Beef Pie Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps kroger chili powder .
  • 2 (15 1/2 oz) cans joan of arc kidney beans .
  • 1/2 frozen green pepper, shaved .
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz) cans DelMonte stewed tomatoes, original recipe .
  • 2 (10 1/2 oz) cans campbell's tomato soup .
  • 2 lbs ground chuck

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Cook the ground beef to a chunky consistancy in the pot or pan of your choice & after cooking, rinse under hot water in a colander to reduce saturated fats.
  • Step #3 2.
  • Step #4 Return to your favorite 4 quart pot or pan that has a cover & add the remaining ingrediants.
  • Step #5 BTW: The shaved frozen green pepper eliminates the grand kids objections to the "onions is kaka", but adds the flavor needed.
  • Step #6 3.
  • Step #7 Bring to a boil stiring frequently then reduce to a simmer.
  • Step #8 Simmer one hr -- or more if you have the time.
  • Step #9 Watch it & allow it to reduce to a thickness you would enjoy.

  • Step #11 Like most chili recipes, this one tastes better the second day & even better the third! Freezes well for ready made meals.
  • Step #12 5.
  • Step #13 As a variation, add a small can of V-8 juice if you'd like added salt & a hint of celery.
