Lemon-herb Butter-basted Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 1 1/2 tbsps lemon & herb seasoning (lemon-herb chicken sauce mix recommended ( McCormick) .
  • 3 1/2 lbs whole chickens, cut up with skin on .
  • lemon pepper, to taste (recommended ( Lawry's) .
  • garlic salt, to taste (recommended ( Lawry's) .
  • 2 tbsps lemon juice (recommended ( ReaLemon)

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat broiler.
  • Step #2 In a small pan over med-heat/flame, melt butter.
  • Step #3 Stir in sauce mix & lemon juice, cook 1 min.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat; set aside.
  • Step #5 Rinse chicken with cold water & pat dry.
  • Step #6 Spice up with garlic salt & lemon pepper.
  • Step #7 Place chicken on foil wrap lined baking sheet or broiler pan.
  • Step #8 Broil chicken for about 15 mins per side basting with butter sauce every 5 mins or until desired crispness & color.
  • Step #9 Serve with a crisp salad, lemon chicken soup, lemon garlic broccoli etc.
