Hot Pepper Jelly Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c hot peppers (seeded & ground) .
  • 1 c green sweet peppers (seeded & ground) .
  • 6 1/2 c sugar .
  • 2 (3 oz) packets liquid pectin (I use Certo) .
  • 1 1/2 c cider vinegar

Directions
  • Step #1 I use 4-6 sweet peppers & 2-3 hot pepper to get the amount in the recipe above.
  • Step #2 I grind the peppers in the food processor/blender.
  • Step #3 Combine all but the pectin in a pan & bring to a rolling boil.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat & let this stand for 20 mins.
  • Step #5 Reheat & boil for 3 mins stirring constantly.
  • Step #6 Remove from the stove & add the pectin.
  • Step #7 Stir for 7 mins.
  • Step #8 Pack in hot, STERILE, jars & seal with parrafin wax.
  • Step #9 You can put this in the smaller jars for gift-giving.
