Maple-chile Popcorn (light) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 c popped popcorn (popped without salt or fat) .
  • 1/2 c maple syrup .
  • 1/2 tsp ground red pepper .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • cooking spray .
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 300°.
  • Step #2 Coat a 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan or other large rimmed baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Step #3 Place popcorn In a large-ish metal or glass bowl lightly coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #4 Combine syrup, butter, salt, & pepper in a saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #5 Bring to a boil, stirring just until mixd.
  • Step #6 Cook, without stirring, for 2 mins.
  • Step #7 Pour syrup mixture over popcorn in a steady stream, stirring to coat.
  • Step #8 Spread popcorn mixture in an even layer into prepared pan.
  • Step #9 Bake at 300° for 15 mins.
  • Step #10 Remove from oven, & cool completely in pan.
