Ingredients
1 beaten egg .
1/2 tsp salt .
vegetable oil .
2 (3 oz) packages cream cheese, softened .
40 wonton skins .
1/4 tsp garlic powder .
1 (6 oz) package imitation crabmeat
Directions
Step #1 Mix sliced crabmeat, cream cheese, salt & garlic powder.
Step #2 Place heaping tspful crabmeat mixture in center of wonton skin.
Step #3 Top with another wonton skin; press edges to seal.
Step #4 Brush dab of egg on center of each side of puff.
Step #5 Make a pleat on each edge, pressing to seal.
Step #6 Repeat with remaining wonton skins.
Step #7 Heat vegetable oil in wok to 350 degrees.
Step #8 Fry 4 or 5 puffs at a time until golden brown.
Step #9 Drain on paper towel.
Step #10 Serve with sweet & sour sauce or plain.
