Crabmeat Puffs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 beaten egg .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • vegetable oil .
  • 2 (3 oz) packages cream cheese, softened .
  • 40 wonton skins .
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder .
  • 1 (6 oz) package imitation crabmeat

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix sliced crabmeat, cream cheese, salt & garlic powder.
  • Step #2 Place heaping tspful crabmeat mixture in center of wonton skin.
  • Step #3 Top with another wonton skin; press edges to seal.
  • Step #4 Brush dab of egg on center of each side of puff.
  • Step #5 Make a pleat on each edge, pressing to seal.
  • Step #6 Repeat with remaining wonton skins.
  • Step #7 Heat vegetable oil in wok to 350 degrees.
  • Step #8 Fry 4 or 5 puffs at a time until golden brown.
  • Step #9 Drain on paper towel.
  • Step #10 Serve with sweet & sour sauce or plain.
