My Extra Easy Never Fail Caesar Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 glass chef's favorite wine .
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1/2 lb bacon .
  • 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese .
  • 2 heads romaine lettuce .
  • 3/4 c milk .
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce .
  • 1 (4 oz) can anchovy fillets .
  • 3 tbsps vinegar (tarragon, wine etc) .
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice .
  • 3 garlic cloves .
  • fresh ground pepper (to taste) .
  • 3-6 dashes Tabasco sauce (to taste)

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Break & wash lettuce & allow it to soak in very cold water.
  • Step #3 2.
  • Step #4 Dice bacon & fry until crisp.
  • Step #5 Set aside on paper towel to remove oil.
  • Step #6 3.
  • Step #7 Warm coddle egg.
  • Step #8 (put the egg in a dish of hot tap water.
  • Step #9 Not boiling).
  • Step #10 4.
  • Step #11 Put anchovies in a bowl & cover with milk to remove saltiness.
  • Step #12 5.
  • Step #13 Clean garlic cloves & remove tough root end & any green sprouts.
  • Step #14 6.
  • Step #15 Let everything rest for at least 10 mins & drink a glass of wine.
  • Step #16 7.
  • Step #17 In a mixer add Worcestershire, lemon, mustard, garlic, egg, anchovies, vinegar, tobasco, & pepper.
  • Step #18 Blend at high speed for at least 2 mins until smooth.
  • Step #19 8.
  • Step #20 Lower to medium speed & drizzle oil slowly into the mixer.
  • Step #21 9.
  • Step #22 Put washed & dried lettuce In a large-ish salad bowl.
  • Step #23 Add bacon, cheese & half of the dressing to the lettuce & toss thoroughly.
  • Step #24 Either add the rest of the dressing & toss lightly or serve it on the side at the table.
