Irish Cream Bread Pudding With Caramel Irish Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c irish cream .
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract .
  • 1 loaf stale French bread .
  • 2 c milk .
  • 1/4 c water .
  • 1/3 c freshly brewed coffee .
  • 1 tsp lemon juice .
  • 3 eggs .
  • Bread Pudding .
  • 1 1/4 c granulated sugar .
  • 1 c heavy cream .
  • 1/3 c heavy cream .
  • 1/2 c raisins .
  • 1 c granulated sugar .
  • Caramel Irish Cream Sauce .
  • 1/4 c irish cream .
  • 2 tbsps unsalted butter, softened

Directions
  • Step #1 Pudding: Crumble the bread, with the crust, into a bowl.
  • Step #2 Cover up with mixd milk, cream & liqueur & let this stand an hr or until the bread has absorbed most of the liquid.
  • Step #3 Preheat oven to 325F degrees F.
  • Step #4 Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking dish & set aside.
  • Step #5 Beat eggs, sugar & vanilla extract until well mixed.
  • Step #6 Mix carefully with bread & raisins.
  • Step #7 Spoon into pan, smooth top.
  • Step #8 Bake until light brown & the custard is set, about an hr.
  • Step #9 Caramel Irish Cream Sauce: Pour sugar into water in saucepan & let this stand until sugar is wet.
  • Step #10 Cook, swirling every once in awhile, until the mixture turns nut brown.
  • Step #11 Remove from heat.
  • Step #12 Immediately & CAREFULLY, to avoid splatters, pour in coffee & cream into the saucepan.
  • Step #13 Return to heat & cook, stirring constantly, until caramel melts.
  • Step #14 Remove from heat & cool.
  • Step #15 Stir in lemon juice & liqueur just before serving.
