Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c chocolate chips .
  • 1/3 c roasted espresso beans

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt 1/2 c chocolate chips in a double boiler over low heat/flame to keep from burning the chocolate.
  • Step #2 You can also melt it in the microwave, but remember to stir it every 15-30 seconds.
  • Step #3 After it is smooth, turn off the heat & let it cool for a min, then mix in about 1/3 c of the roasted coffee beans & stir.
  • Step #4 With a spoon or fork, lay the coffee beans out on some wax paper on a tray, making sure they are all separated from each other.
  • Step #5 Let them cool there, or put them in the freezer to speed things up.
  • Step #6 If you would like more chocolate on them, or just for looks, drizzle some white or other chocolate over them.
  • Step #7 Let them cool completely.
  • Step #8 Separate them into a bowl or bag, & then dust them with powdered sugar or cocoa powder if you chose.
  • Step #9 Chocolate covered coffee beans are a quick way to melt your valentine’s heart.
  • Step #10 Find a cute heart shaped tin or some lovely red ribbon to tie up a bag & you are well on your way to the perfect gift.
