Sausage Hashbrown Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb hot pork sausage .
  • 1/2 tsp pepper .
  • 2 c milk .
  • 1 (4 oz) can sliced chili peppers (also added by me) .
  • 1 1/2 tsps salt .
  • 6 large eggs .
  • 1 c shredded cheddar cheese .
  • 1 (30 oz) package frozen hash browns .
  • 1 lb mild pork sausage .
  • 2-3 spring onions, finely sliced (I added this to the recipe)

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook sausages in large skillet over med-high heat -- stirring until crumbled & done.
  • Step #2 Drain well.
  • Step #3 Prepare hash browns according to pkg directions, using 1/tsp salt & pepper.
  • Step #4 *.
  • Step #5 Stir together hash browns, sausage, cheese, onions & chili peppers.
  • Step #6 Pour into lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
  • Step #7 Whisk together eggs, milk & remaining 1 tsp salt*.
  • Step #8 Pour evenly over potato mixture.
  • Step #9 Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 mins.
  • Step #10 This was taken from Southern Living Magazine to which I added the onions & peppers.
  • Step #11 I am not a sausage fan but did enjoy this.
