Char Siu Pork Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 12 oz pork tenderloins .
  • 1/2 garlic clove, crushed .
  • 1/8 c soy sauce .
  • 1 tsp red food coloring (optional) .
  • 1/2 green onion (sliced lengthwise) .
  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar .
  • 1 tbsp dry red wine .
  • 12 tbsps honey

Directions
  • Step #1 Trim & discard fat from tenderloin.
  • Step #2 Combine all other ingredients except for the onion curls.
  • Step #3 Add pork, turning to coat.
  • Step #4 Cover up & let this stand at about room temp for an hr or put in the fridge overnight, turning every once in awhile.
  • Step #5 Drain pork, reserving marinade.
  • Step #6 Place pork on wire rack over baking pan.
  • Step #7 Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degrees F.
  • Step #8 until done (about 45 mins).
  • Step #9 Turn & baste frequently.
  • Step #10 Remove pork from oven & cool.
  • Step #11 Cut into diagonal slices & serve.
