Beef Nachos Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/8 tsp sweet paprika .
  • 1/4 c sliced onions .
  • 1 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese .
  • 1/2 lb ground beef .
  • 8 restaurant-style corn tortilla chips .
  • 1 large jalapeno pepper .
  • 2 tbsps water .
  • 1 tsp chili powder (Mexican mix) .
  • 1/2 c shredded monterey jack cheese .
  • 1/2 tsp dried onion flakes .
  • 1/2 c refried beans

Directions
  • Step #1 HEAT oven to 375° Brown beef in skillet, crumble in small pieces.
  • Step #2 Cook until it is no longer pink; drain.
  • Step #3 ADD chili powder, paprika, salt dried onion & water.
  • Step #4 Simmer on low for about 10 min Heat beans in small pan or in microwave, until hot.
  • Step #5 MIX cheeses together in small bowl; set aside.
  • Step #6 ARRANGE chips on baking sheet or on oven-proof plate (I use a large pie plate).
  • Step #7 SPREAD about 1 Tbsp of beans on each chip.
  • Step #8 SPRINKLE about 2 Tbsp of beef on each chip.
  • Step #9 Flatten beef with spoon so that it will hold the cheese.
  • Step #10 Place a handful of cheese on each chip.
  • Step #11 Sprinkle top onion over the cheese.
  • Step #12 Place a slice of jalapeno on each chip.
  • Step #13 BAKE for 8-10 mins or until cheese melts.
  • Step #14 Serve with salsa, guacamole or sour cream.
