Step #1 Preheat the oven to moderate (180C/160C fan forced) Grease a 14cm x 21cm loaf pan.
Step #2 Combine dates & maple syrup In a large-ish heatproof bowl, add the boiling water & stand for 15 mins.
Step #3 Add walnuts, sugar, sifted flour & soda, rolled oats, stir in theto date mixture until well mixd.
Step #4 Spread mixture into the prepared pan, sprinkle with sesame seeds & bake for approximately 50 mins or until cooked when tested.
Step #5 Stand for 5 mins before turning onto a wire rack to cool.
