Gooey Chocolate Chip Melts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c brown sugar .
  • 1/4 c rolled oats .
  • 1 c flour .
  • 1/2 c macadamia nuts .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1/4 tsp lemon juice .
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract .
  • 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips .
  • 1/4 c granulated sugar .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda .
  • 2 tbsps flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 Grind oats in a food processor/blender or mixer until ground fine.
  • Step #3 Combine ground oats with flour, baking soda, salt & cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  • Step #4 In a separate bowl mix the butter, sugars, vanilla & lemon juice & mix with mixer until mixd.
  • Step #5 Add the eggs & mix until smooth & creamy.
  • Step #6 Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients & mix well.
  • Step #7 Add the chocolate chips & macadamia nuts to the dough & mix by hand until ingredients are well mixed.
  • Step #8 Spoon rounded 1/4 c full for big cookies (or less for smaller cookies) onto ungreased, nonstick cookie sheet.
  • Step #9 Place scoops of dough 2" apart (you don't need to press dough flat).
  • Step #10 Bake 16-18 mins or until cookies are light brown & soft in the middle.
  • Step #11 Let cool.
