Uncle Arthur's Chantilly Fudge Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps Karo light corn syrup .
  • 3/4 c heavy cream .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1 c milk .
  • 1 c nuts .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 In a heavy saucepan mix first 5 ingredients, & mix together.
  • Step #2 Cook on med.
  • Step #3 heat to 238 degrees using a candy thermometer.
  • Step #4 Take off stove, & add vanilla.
  • Step #5 Beat with wooden spoon until creamy, & shiny.
  • Step #6 Add nuts, & stir well.
  • Step #7 Put in a buttered 11x7" pan.
  • Step #8 Cut into squares.
  • Step #9 Store in cookie tin or tupperware, & put in the fridge, if you want to.
  • Step #10 Note: Cooking time is approximate.
  • Step #11 Use a candy thermometer.
