Stir Fried Tofu And Vegetables Recipe

Ingredients
  • salt & pepper .
  • 1 tbsp cornflour .
  • egg whites .
  • 1 small onion (Quartered) .
  • 2 c deep frying oil .
  • 2 tbsps corn oil .
  • 2 tbsps sesame oil (optional) .
  • 1 small carrot (Peeled & sliced diagonally) .
  • 1 small head iceberg lettuce .
  • 250 g tofu .
  • 4 tbsps water .
  • 2 tbsps fresh garlic (minced) .
  • baby corn (About 8-12 pieces, sliced diagonally) .
  • 3 tbsps oyster sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Cube Tofu into bits of about an inch each.
  • Step #2 Cover up with beaten egg white & toss in a tbsp of cornflour.
  • Step #3 Deep fry & set aside.
  • Step #4 Separate leaves of Iceberg Lettuce & wash.
  • Step #5 Chop each leaf into two leaving slightly big pieces.
  • Step #6 Heat 2 tbsp oil & stir fry starting with onions.
  • Step #7 Once onion pieces have separated & oil drizzles from its sides add minced garlic followed by baby corn & carrots.
  • Step #8 Stir fry for a min or two then add water.
  • Step #9 To this, stir in the lettuce & pour oyster sauce.
  • Step #10 Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #11 Finally, drizzle with sasame oil prior to serving over or with hot steaming rice.
