Balti Chicken Kofta Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger .
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric .
  • 1/2 tsp ground fenugreek .
  • 1 lb skinless chicken breasts, & cubed .
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed .
  • 2 tbsps fresh coriander leaves, sliced .
  • oil (for deep frying) .
  • 1 tsp ground coriander .
  • 1 pint water .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1 tsp chili powder .
  • 2 fresh green chilies, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Put all the ingredients with the water into a pan & cook over med-heat/flame till all the water till the water has evaporated.
  • Step #2 Cool the mixture for 30 mins.
  • Step #3 Put the mixture into a mixer & process for 2 mins.
  • Step #4 Form the mixture into about a dozen balls.
  • Step #5 Heat the oil in a deep pan & fry the kofta balls till light golden brown, drain on kitchen paper & serve.
