Home Style Chicken And Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1 1/2 c Bisquick baking mix .
  • 1 (9 oz) box frozen baby peas, thawed .
  • 1/2 c milk .
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced (1 c) .
  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs (I use chicken breasts) .
  • 1/2 tsp dried marjoram .
  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 large potato, peeled & cut into 1/2 inch pieces (1 1/2 c) .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • paprika .
  • 1 (14 oz) can chicken broth

Directions
  • Step #1 In 4 quart crock pot place potatos & carrots.
  • Step #2 In medium bowl, flour, salt, mix broth, marjoram & pepper; pour this into cooker.
  • Step #3 Add chicken.
  • Step #4 Cover up; cook on low setting for 6 hrs.
  • Step #5 Stir in peas.
  • Step #6 Increase heat setting to High.
  • Step #7 Cover up; cook 15 mins.
  • Step #8 In small bowl, stir bisquick mix & milk until bisquick mix is moistened.
  • Step #9 Drop dough by spoonfuls onto chicken mixture.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top with paprika.
  • Step #11 Cover up; cook on high about 20 mins or until toothpick inserted in center of dumplings comes out clean.
