Herbed Spaghetti With Butter Recipe

Ingredients
  • coarse salt & pepper .
  • 1/2 lb thin whole wheat spaghetti .
  • 1/4 c finely sliced fresh herbs (such as parsley, tarragon, & chives) .
  • 1 tsp grated lemon zest .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta until al dente according to package instructions.
  • Step #2 Drain, reserving 1/2 c pasta water.
  • Step #3 Return pasta to pot.
  • Step #4 Stir in butter, lemon zest, juice, & herbs season this with salt & pepper.
  • Step #5 Add some of the reserved pasta water to adjust consistency, if needed.
  • Step #6 Serve.
