Ingredients
  • 1 tsp asafetida powder .
  • 2 tsps mustard seeds .
  • 500 mg fenugreek leaves .
  • 1 c gram flour .
  • 50 g onions .
  • 10-12 curry leaves .
  • 4 tsps vegetable oil .
  • 3-4 green chilies .
  • salt .
  • 2 tsps turmeric powder .
  • 5 g coriander leaves

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Mix together gram flour, salt & some water for desired consistency.
  • Step #3 Remove the lumps.
  • Step #4 (There is an alternative method for this.
  • Step #5 First follow the step 2, & add water directly to it.
  • Step #6 When water starts boiling, add gram flour & stir.

  • Step #10 In a deep pan, heat oil.
  • Step #11 Add mustard seeds, asafoetida & turmeric powder.

  • Step #13 Give vertical slits to the chilies & add them.

  • Step #16 When onion pieces become transperent, add the paste of gram flour.
  • Step #17 Now keep stirring to avoid lump formation.

  • Step #19 Cover up & turn the heat on medium.

  • Step #21 Remove the lid & stir after 5 mins till the consistency is thick to semisolid.
  • Step #22 Methi besan is ready to serve when the raw smell goes.

  • Step #24 Garnish with coriander leaves & serve this with plain rice or bhakri.
