Jamaican Sorrel Aioli Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c firmly packed fresh sorrel leaves, stems & tough ribs removed .
  • 1/4 c chives, sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 tsps lemon juice .
  • 1 egg yolk .
  • 1 c canola oil or grapeseed oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Place all ingredients except oil into mixer, & mix until smooth.
  • Step #2 Continue mixing, & slowly add oil through feed tube until mixture thickens, then pour oil in at a faster rate.
  • Step #3 Scrape mixture out into container, & store this in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
