Ingredients
1/4 c Braggs liquid aminos or soy sauce .
1 c green peppers .
8 oz water chestnuts, sliced .
1/4 tsp garlic powder .
1 1/2 lbs extra-firm silken tofu .
1 1/2 c unsweetened pineapple juice .
1/2 c apple cider vinegar .
Sauce .
1 1/2 tbsps peanut butter .
8 green onions .
1/4 c parsley .
1/2 c brown sugar .
2 tbsps brown sugar .
2 tbsps cornstarch .
1/4 c canned mushroom slices or 1/2 c fresh mushrooms
Directions
Step #1 Balls:.
Step #2 Yes the recipe does say brown sugar twice.
Step #3 Yes unless you want to convert from grams use both.
Step #4 cut onions & green peppers into 1/4 inch pieces.
Step #5 Mash tofu in bowl.
Step #6 Then mix in the rest of the ingredients.
Step #7 Form into 2 inch balls.
Step #8 Roll in flour & fry in 1/2 inch oil browning on all sides.
Step #9 Do NOT let oil smoke.
Step #10 Drain on paper towels.
Step #11 Serve hot.
Step #12 Sauce:.
Step #13 Combine sauce in saucepan over med heat.
Step #14 Whisk out the lumps & heat, stir constantly until thickens.
Step #15 Pour over balls when serving.
Step #16 Make sure they are well coated.
