Cranberry Cherry Crumble Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg .
  • 1/4 c whole wheat flour .
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • cooking spray .
  • 1/4 c oats .
  • 1/4 c dried cranberries, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp flour .
  • 1/4 c dried cherries, sliced .
  • 1/4 c slivered almonds .
  • 1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed .
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon .
  • 2 tbsps butter, cut into pieces .
  • 3 c cranberries .
  • 1 1/2 tsps cornstarch .
  • 2 c pitted frozen cherries, thawed .
  • 3/4 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375.
  • Step #2 Combine first 7 ingredients In a large-ish bowl, tossing carefully to coat fruit.
  • Step #3 Spoon cranberry mixture into an 8" pan coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #4 Combine almonds & next 7 ingredients (Through extract).
  • Step #5 Cut in butter with a pastry mixer until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top oat mixture evenly over cranberry mixture.
  • Step #7 Bake at 375 for 45 mins or until filling is bubbly & topping is golden.
