Spare Ribs In Sweet Honey Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps cornflour .
  • green coriander, for garnishing .
  • 4 tbsps honey .
  • 3/4 c tomato sauce or ketchup .
  • 500 g spareribs .
  • salt (as much or as little as you like) .
  • 4 tbsps HP steak sauce .
  • oil (for frying) .
  • 3 eggs, whisked

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Beat the spare ribs with a meat hammer.
  • Step #3 Marinate the meat in a mixture of the Salt, whisked egg, half of the cornflour required(1tbsp).
  • Step #4 Keep aside at about room temp for 30-40 mins.
  • Step #5 2.
  • Step #6 Heat oil in frypan & add the marinated succulent meat & deep fry.
  • Step #7 Drain excess oil with absorbent paper & keep aside to cool.
  • Step #8 3.
  • Step #9 Prepare the sauce by mixing the sauces & honey.
  • Step #10 4.
  • Step #11 Heat some more oil in a wok.
  • Step #12 Slowly add the swee honey sauce & let it simmer for a little while.
  • Step #13 Then add the spare ribs & mix together well.
  • Step #14 5.
  • Step #15 Add the remaining 1tbsp of cornflour to the ribs as it will act as a thickening agent.
  • Step #16 6.
  • Step #17 Serve hot, garnished with some green coriander , with any Chinese main meal accompainments & rice or warm noodles.
