Garlic Pita Chips Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt .
  • 1/4 c olive oil .
  • 2 egg whites, lightly beaten .
  • 1 (8 oz) package whole wheat pita bread .
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely sliced .
  • 1/2 c fresh parsley, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 300F degrees.
  • Step #2 Lightly coat 2 or 3 baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Step #3 Cut each pita into 4 wedges, then carefully cut or pull each wedge apart, to form a total of 64 triangles.
  • Step #4 Combine parsley, olive oil, egg white, garlic & salt in small bowl.
  • Step #5 Spoon some of the parsley mixture over rough side of each triangle.
  • Step #6 Place triangles, parsley side up, in single layer on baking sheets.
  • Step #7 Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 18 mins or until edges of triangles are toasted & parsley topping is set.
  • Step #8 Cool chips on baking sheets on wire racks.
