Crabby Cliff's Mushroom Puffs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 3 c fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tbsps olive oil
  • 1 (17.5 oz) package frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 (6 oz) can crabmeat, drained & flaked
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 400F degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Stir in the mushrooms, green onions, garlic & cayenne pepper.
  • Step #4 Cook 10 mins, or until tender.
  • Step #5 Transfer the mushroom mixture to a medium bowl.
  • Step #6 Blend in the cream cheese & crabmeat.
  • Step #7 On a lightly floured flat surface, roll each pastry sheet into a 12x12 inch square.
  • Step #8 Cut each sheet into nine 4x4 inch squares.
  • Step #9 Place 1 tbsp of the mushroom mixture onto each pastry square.
  • Step #10 Fold the squares by bringing the corners to the center, creating an X.
  • Step #11 Place the squares on a medium baking sheet.
  • Step #12 Bake 20 mins in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
