Crunchy Asian Slaw Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 oz ramen noodles .
  • 1 c canola oil .
  • 1/4 c white sesame seeds .
  • 1/2 c Splenda sugar substitute or sugar .
  • 1/2 c slivered almonds .
  • 3 tbsps soy sauce .
  • 1/2 head cabbage .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 1/2 c vinegar

Directions
  • Step #1 Whisk together canola oil, vinegar, soy sauce & splenda.
  • Step #2 Set aside.
  • Step #3 Melt 1 stick of butter.
  • Step #4 While butter is melting crush dry raman noodles into bite size pieces.
  • Step #5 Remove the seasoning pack & discard.
  • Step #6 Add to the melted butter almonds, sesame seeds, & dry raman noodles.
  • Step #7 Cook until browned.
  • Step #8 Shred 1/2 of the head of cabbage & set aside.
  • Step #9 When ready to serve pour browned noodles, almonds & seeds into shredded cabbage toss.
  • Step #10 Add the slaw sauce & toss again.
