Step #1 Cream butter & sugars together, add in eggs one at a time.
Step #2 Sift in dry ingredients except oatmeal.
Step #3 Slowly add oatmeal making sure it is well mixed before adding more.
Step #4 At a certain point it will be tough on your mixer as this dough becomes kind of stiff & dry but make sure to add all oatmeal.
Step #5 Then stir in the chocolate & nuts.
Step #6 Drop by rounded tspfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Step #7 Bake at 400F degrees for 7-8 min.
