Kofta Meat Balls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pint plain yogurt .
  • 2 oz fresh ginger, grated .
  • 1 tsp ground cumin .
  • 4 oz ghee .
  • 1 tsp turmeric .
  • 1 egg .
  • 2 tsps garam masala .
  • 1 tsp chili powder .
  • 1 oz fresh parsley .
  • 1 lb ground beef .
  • 2 tsps paprika .
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper .
  • oil .
  • 2 tsps salt .
  • 6 garlic cloves, sliced .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixer mix together the meat, half of the onions & half of the garlic with the parsley.
  • Step #2 Add the egg & mix into the meat.
  • Step #3 Form the meat into balls the size of a walnut.
  • Step #4 Heat the oil in a deep pan & fry the meat balls till they are browned.
  • Step #5 Remove from pan.
  • Step #6 In a pan melt the ghee & fry the onions till golden.
  • Step #7 Add all the spices & ginger, & cook over low heat/flame for 10 mins.
  • Step #8 Add the meat balls & cook for 20 mins, stir them carefully do not allow them to stick to the pot.
  • Step #9 Add the yogurt stir & cook for 20 mins.
  • Step #10 Serve.
