Step #1 Preheat the oven to 375°F Grease an 8-inch springform pan.
Step #2 Set aside.
Step #3 Sift together the 2 c of flour, the baking powder & the salt.
Step #4 Set aside.
Step #5 Cream the butter & sugar until fluffy, about 3 mins.
Step #6 Beat in the egg.
Step #7 Add the flour mixture in 3 parts, alternating with the milk.
Step #8 Toss the berries with the remaining 1 to 2 tbsps of flour (to separate & scatter evenly throughout the batter) & fold inches Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Step #9 Set aside.
Step #10 Combine ingredients for topping with a fork to make crumbly mixture.
Step #11 Sprinkle top this over the batter.
Step #12 Bake for one hr, then test for doneness by carefully inserting a fork.
Step #13 If it does not come out clean, give the cake another 5 to 10 mins to bake.
Step #14 When the cake has cooled, run a knife around the edges & lift the cake out o the pan.
