Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps sugar .
  • 1 tbsp baking powder .
  • 1 c yellow cornmeal or blue cornmeal, whole grain .
  • 1 c skim milk .
  • 1/4 c egg whites or egg substitute .
  • 1/3 c oil .
  • 1 c all-purpose flour or white whole wheat flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Step #2 Lightly oil an 8"x8" baking dish.
  • Step #3 Combine dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • Step #4 Add wet ingredients & mix well.
  • Step #5 Pour batter into pan, baking for about 30 mins until done.
  • Step #6 Let cool, & cut into 12 squares.
  • Step #7 Serve warm.
  • Step #8 Cover up & put in the fridge unused portions.
